One Week Old

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Boyd for the swing! Addison absolutely loves it. If she's fussy, we just put her in the swing and she falls right asleep.
Uncle Thad came over to meet little Addison on Sunday. He said he wants another one. Sue?
Grandma Joy helped out a ton the past 5 days. Here she's helping with the baby announcement photo shoot.
First bath. She doesn't look too happy here, but she was actually very calm throughout the entire process. She had the cutest little shivers when we got her out.
Here are my two favorite ladies in the world. Addy is all nice and warm after the bath.

Coming Home

This is what awaits little Addison. It pretty much was all done back in October. I had some time on my hands. Amanda really did a good job designing the room. I tried not to screw it up.
Meanwhile, back at the hospital...
Snug as a bug in a...car seat. Thanks Mona for helping us put it together.
BJ, our very nice and very I-forgot-I-already-told-you-that nurse, really wanted to take our picture. Her aim was a little off, but I'm glad she did.
They deliver right to the car. I got to pull the big red wagon.
Coming home finally.
Did I mention she weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces?

More Baby

Just thought this one was precious.
I bought this for Kylie back in 2004. Needless to say it didn't fly. So, I held on to it. Now I can put it to good use. The world is a better place because it has gained another Eagles fan.
And the Lancaster Chapter of The Hills Fan Club (gross) has received another member. These fine young ladies are Amanda's PB friends.
These are my sleeping quarters. You wouldn't believe what I had to go through to have this kid.
Monica and Leah paid us a visit. Leah did a great job holding her new little cousin. If I'm not mistaken, I think Addison is smiling.

She's Here!

Well, this is Amanda ready to go to the hospital. She had a her OB appointment on Monday, and they scheduled an inducement for Tuesday morning. This is just before we left. How excited she looks! This is going to be great!
Still excited. Heartbeat...check. Contractions? Hello? Where are they? By noon, the midwife had popped the water, and man, did those contractions come. Amanda was at 4 cm when she went in. She was at 6 cm before she asked for the epidural. (sp.?)
Ten hours later (less than one hour of pushing), here she is. Addison Grace was born at 10:36 PM, December 11. As you can see in the picture, that's a whopping 9 pounds, 6 ounces. Yikes! She came in at 21 inches long. Amanda was awesome. I've never been more proud to call her my wife.
Here's the little giant. Man, was she maaad!
The nurses and the midwife could not believe Amanda pushed out a 9 1/2 pound baby. They called Addy the little sumo wrestler.
'Manda and Addy. Healthy mom and healthy baby.

Not Yet...

Well, this isn't pregnant Amanda, but I would imagine she feels something like this. We really thought Addison was coming this past Monday, December 3rd. But, the contractions went away, and have yet to return. It's very cold outside. This kid is smart. She knows it's warm inside Mom's belly. I would do the same thing if I were her. Wow. Look at those evil red eyes.
